The best movie ever is Hoosiers. It is the best ever because it is inspiring, has realistic characters, and has relatable content. It is a very brilliant basketball movie, which is an another main reason it is the best movie ever.
It is inspirational because a small town team makes it all the way to the championship game. The team of the small town Hickory, Indiana. The Hoosiers are made up of seven players, who does not have a very successful season. The team becomes an organized team which plays well in tournament. They make it to the state championship, which is composed of all the schools in the state. Although Hickory is one of the smallest teams in the state, they play the biggest school in the state and beat them.
Another reason, why Hoosiers is a great movie is because of the small-town characters. The players are just out there to have fun and play basketball. The team gets the town's best player halfway through the season; his name is Jimmy. The coach who really likes the game and the players, shows his emotion towards the game in the way he coaches. The team is not the most gifted team, but through work hard and they become a team that wins games.
The most important reason for this movie's greatness is that it has pertainable content. The town cares more about basketball than anything. The team is a small town team, which are often underdogs. Coaches are on the hotseat if they do not win games; they get fired. Even the town priest takes part. He owns a bus and takes the team to the games in his bus.
These are just a few of the reasons why Hoosiers is the best movie ever. Hoosiers is very motivational to small town basketball teams. It also has very prudent characters which relate to other small town teams. For many members of small towns, this is a very referable movie to what goes on in most small towns. So if one is a basketball player in a small town, one should watch this movie to get inspired for their future season.
